Building the Bridgewater Place dream

Construction of this major office and residential development began in 2004 and was complete in 2007, becoming the Yorkshire region's tallest building. Residential development undertaken by KW Linfoot plc, it houses 21 800sq m of office space in the lower 10 floors and 200 apartments in the upper 20 floors and the lower ground and basement levels devoted to car parking.

Involved from the start

Picano Residential were closely involved in the final construction of all our Bridgewater Place properies, working closely with the development team at KW Linfoot to ensure the layout and finishing was of an exceptionally high standard for all our tenants.

  • Construction of the reinforced concrete frame was completed with the main structural core 'topped out' on 8 September 2005.
  • The building was officially completed in an opening ceremony on 26 April 2007 with the local BBC news show 'Look North' being broadcast live from the top of the tower. .
  • A spire was included in the approved plans but never built.
